The big lore drop I’m referring to is the fact that the Gnoses are the remains/corpse of the Third Descender. Rereading the series, I actually found a lot of correlations, and I think the prince might actually be the third descender himself.

The three sisters were all in love with the morning stars, and it is said that their love for the morning stars was "equal" to the affection between the sisters. They went through a swamp blazing with dark flames and passed a cave overgrown with poisonous mushrooms, then they reached the Kingdom of Pygmies. In Book V, the Six Pygmies begin to plot their plan to kidnap the prince. But the two big things I wanted to make note of in this book were these two quotes:Nahida : Loss of Rhukadevata, who herself lost her own body (this one is much more literal, Nahida is a litteral Pygmy. It can also be argued that Rhukadevata IS the shrunken Pygmy in the tale.) While yes, Pygmies have mythologies surrounding them, it is important to note that the story told by Nahida doesn't go such long ways to explain why Dottore is a monster nor Scara is a cat. The characters represent the people on a very surface level. I wanted to see my garden but somehow got lost." Rubbing his withered palms, the shrunken pygmy grinned. It is said that Rex Laps was yet young, the sun was a chariot that raced across the earth. When the three sisters of the night sky were martyred in a calamity, the solar chariot fell into a deep gorge. Coincidentally, Nabu Malikata, the Goddess of Flowers and Mistress of Dreams had the power of prophecy, and she was a Seelie. The leading theory on the identity of the Princess is that she is related to the Seelies.

I'm not entirely sure if others have come to the same conclusion as me, but I can't seem to find any. Most people believe it to be the story of the Tsaritsa and other Archons, or the story of Khaenri'ah, but I will try my best to explain why I don't think this is possible for anyone who still has doubts. Seelie were associated with the moon, having perished along the moon sisters. At the end of book, the people under the rule of the Pale Princess meet the same fate as the Seelie, being forced to live in an undead state. A fairytale story that has been told throughout Teyvat for ages. In this installment, the Six Pygmies' sinister scheme starts to unfold. The monarch of this kingdom was a beautiful princess with skin as white as snow. Just like the moon, she had the brightest skin, the purest eyes, and the kindest soul. People of the kingdom all vowed their loyalty to her and referred to her as The Pale Princess. We could infer that a short adult is a character who is not whole. It's a character who's lost a part of themselves. The princess was already in chains. The moonlight kingdom was destroyed and the people were cursed in front of her eyes. "They will be in an undead state, lingering at the point between life and death forevermore." When the pygmy arrived, the Princess was already gone. The sorrowful howl of a night owl was heard as the Night Mother arose from the now-corrupt fountain.

Zhongli does talk about the erosion 'imposed on him' by Celestia, as if it is punishment for his deeds. I don't think the game would go out of their way to note he was alive at this time, unless he'd done anything worth note at that time. He also named his city 'Liyue' which means Glazed moon, and the currency he created has a triquetra on it, possibly the symbol of the moon sisters and the Seelie ancestor he had betrayed. This may explain how he was Demoted to Teyvat. Also, weirdly enough, when naming Wanderer. Scaramouche will deny his mothers name, but has no problems with the other archons like Buer or Barbatos. However, if you try to name him Morax or Traveler, the game will step in itself and tell you that you're going too far. Irminsul trees. According to Albedo (He came from Khaenri'ah, created by Gold), ancient Irminsul trees are supposed to be 2 miles in height. But there are only 3 Irminsul trees (Dragonspine, Tsurumi, Chasm) we see in the overworld, and they barely exceed 2 meters in height. This book is a quest item, you cannot progress further into the story without completing this quest and getting the book first. That means the book is important to the story. Volume 1 A deformed pygmy went to them and asked for them to save his 5 brothers. The Princess who is sympathetic to the pygmies, promised to rescue them. Now that you are all my people, please let me take you to the Kingdom of Light. It's a place that can bring sight to the blind, wisdom to the foolish, courage to the timid, and reinvigoration to the shrunken. As a princess, this is my gesture of gratitude to you." Having slogged across the swamp blazing with dark flames and passed the cave overgrown with poisonous mushrooms, the Prince and the Princess finally arrived at the Kingdom of Pygmies.

Pitiful creature, are you here to see your master?" The vile smirk of the Night Mother exuded the breath of the abyss.Devastated, the pygmy wandered around in sorrow and regret. He hid the body in a tree hole and walked off alone into the night, and into a self-imposed exile.
