Too much smut. If you’ve looked at my GR shelves, you’re probably side-eyeing me 👀. Believe me, I’m there with you reading my own words, but the sheer volume just downplayed the romance & the plot too often in the second half. So much so I actually began skipping parts of the love scenes — if not all together later on. It felt so “wash, rinse & repeat” along with their kink just not being mine. {“hero” is POed at the heroine, instant steel rod in his pants, & they screw, then repeat.} Lucy Score took this concept and gave us the ultimate look at how this feeling can tie up a man for years...how he had a love and need for a woman but always stopped himself from acting on his intense feelings. On the flip side, the woman causing all of this need and conflict always had feelings for this man but every time something might have finally happened between them...Walls were erected and hurt was inflicted. The story went that little Remi Ford caused a fuss in kindergarten when she demanded a pink crayon to write her Es because everyone knew Es were pink. It took a few years, but her parents finally got an answer from a specialist. Their daughter’s brain created extra connections, tying colors to things like letters, words, people. So if you’re into friends/enemies to lovers with some suspense and humor then Forever Never is the book for you.

The ow is aware of this. Stupid fool. Obviously the marriage didn’t last long but the H and ow remain friends. Assholes. So glad this is a series and not a once in a Blue Moon story. Lucy Score takes you on a return trip to Blue Moon in Not Part of the Plan. It feels like a trip home with the familiar characters, the laughter and most importantly the love. The great thing about this book is that it reminds us about all of the different kinds of love in the world, romantic love, friend love, family love and community love. Niko is an interesting character that takes a trip to Blue Moon to visit a friend and discovers a part of himself he didn't realize was missing. Get ready to fall for Niko and For Blue Moon to steal your heart again. - Just Me

Instead, he weighed the options between diced tomatoes with or without green peppers while shopkeeper Bill House complained to him. Now, keep this under your hats because rumor has it her family doesn’t know yet,” she said, leaning in and dropping her voice to a whisper. You haunt my every waking moment, Remington. The best thing about this world is that you’re in it.”

Forever Never: an unmissable and steamy romantic comedy from

This have to do with the plane that came in late last night?” Bill asked, temporarily forgetting his problem with Mira’s kid’s accelerator hand.

The “forbidden” elements were never validated. Piling up obstacles that have no real weight is 😴. Seriously, why bother? Lucy Score’s smut writing just gets better and better. Spicy and a little kinky! Some 🍑 play, spanking, and a dominating 6’4 grumpy hero. Beware, it’s a SLOW burn & a long book!! Despite that, there were so many delicious things about this book. A free spirited, quirky h who had the world’s interest at heart. A moody stoic H who loved the h but felt he wouldn’t be good enough for her so kept himself at arms distance emotionally. Watching them bumble through this metaphorical wall of past hurts, of insecurities, of frustrations was entertaining to watch. The island and its inhabitants sounded lovely and was described beautifully. I’ll start with what I liked, for the most part I liked the FMC Remi, she’s unique, funny, and brash. I liked the setting, the cute little island town was quaint and the thriller/mystery was also very compelling. This book is basically about a hero who makes it his life’s mission to push the heroine away because he believes he’s not good enough for her and that she has places to be without him. Heights to reach and dreams to fulfil without him. His whole life revolves around letting her go, yet he can’t help himself when she’s around. The push and pull is exhausting but thrilling.

The writing, the main characters, - terrible. Selfish. And the whole “oh Remi you are just the most special girl in the world” and the other female characters hated her for being so special and taking all their shine literally made me want to burn the book. Spare me that bs please. this book is centered on miscommunication. but they communicated everything yet still didn’t trust each other’s words. so basically they communicated but didn’t know what was real what was not.

what follows is admittedly a rambly one & I probably could do better. Honestly, I’m just ready not to think about this one anymore. So below is more of a reminder to myself why I won’t be rereading this, to air out my grievances…just a smidge 😉 & cut to the chase << might be spoilery, so fyi.}

Her response? Not to call him on his bullshit, that's for sure. She decides that it is her fault that he feels like she is using him for sex, and would never actually commit to a relationship with him (a relationship he has NEVER once asked her to be in, by the way). So after he screws her into the ground, and walks out of her house telling her that they are over, leaving her naked and on the floor.... she decides the best course of action is to get dressed, go to his house, cook him dinner, and tell him she's going to date him and convince him that he's worthy of her. It took him weeks to prepare mentally, to gird himself before being forced to exchange casual greetings across the dinner table. hero was married to heroine’s bff years after the bff and heroine stop talking. hero then divorces the bff. YEARS later heroine and hero reunite. I’ll slap that sweet little ass of yours so hard, every man on this island will hear you scream my name and know you belong to me.”Firstly, the cover isn't fitting in my opinion. It made me think that it would be a cheap summer / holiday romance and it wouldn’t be my cuppa, but that was not the case. Okay, yeah. It wasn't my cuppa, but it wasn't a sweet holiday romance either. It was darker, more angsty, there was some drama and suspense, and the story took place mainly in winter.
