I bought the EOS Rebel Xti a while back now have some holiday time on my hands over the xmas period and would like to learn more about the camera.

Holding the camera to your eye also stabilises it somewhat -- useful in low light situations where blurry shots tend to occur. The 400D's 10-megapixel sensor (3888 by 2592 pixels) allows you to print professional looking photos up to 13 by 8. We've been using a full production version of this 120 fps sports camera, to see what you gain (and, perhaps, lose). To reflect this split in target market, we are presenting our review of the 400D from two distinct points of view: first is a hands-on evaluation by CNET. It was gloriously sunny until I set off then obviously the cloud came over as I drove to my destination giving the dreary results. The iPhone 15 Pro Max stretches into new telephoto territory with its tetraprism design and 5x (120mm equivalent) reach. have been doing the same thing… just making minor, poor, or inconsequential upgrades to their cameras. I find it hilarious, that you have listed dust reduction as a plus in both sony and canon, and failed to mention it for olympus, when several reviews have showed, that only the oly dustreduction actually works ( example ). This point aside, the Pentax can take CR-V3 batteries which will last longer and although rechargeables are available, these shouldn't be used as the difference in voltage could damage the camera. Despite our few complaints, the Canon EOS 400D still shoots some very nice photos, with good colour rendition, broad dynamic range (when there's sufficient illumination), and accurate automatic white balance.

Sony is bringing a shutter angle setting to its two more affordable alpha-branded Cinema Line cameras, the FX3 and FX30, with a firmware update. Our only nitpick with the controls is the large power switch, which is very easy to flip while stowing the 400D in a camera bag. A combination of technologies reduces, repels and removes dust and includes a Self-Cleaning Sensor Unit that shakes dust from the sensor with each power on.The continuous shooting button is just above the navigation pad amidst a vast expanse of empty plastic. It has a big chunky grip and also has some weight to it which will be more balanced when coupled with a heavier lens but that could make it a bit too heavy for some users. Many first-time dSLR users are put off by the inability on some models to use the LCD as a viewfinder, but we came to love the what you see is what you get aspect of using the eyepiece. Oh boy, where do we start, first of all, using a discontinued E500 in a review comparing current cameras? This is a good feature, but bear in mind, could also go against you depending on the images you want.

If you don't change lenses that often, don't mind the smaller LCD, don't need the slight bump in continuous-shooting speed, and don't need the higher resolution, then you don't really need to pay extra for the Canon EOS 400D.n\n High precision 9-point wide-area AF\nSelect from one of nine fixed focusing points across the scene for fast, accurate focusing - even with off-centre subjects and 'rule-of-thirds' compositions.
