When I reviewed Fuji’s Industrial 100 film, I mentioned how its greens and reds were the colours that popped the most. Because of its low cost, it is good to experiment and use every day in almost all photographic situations.

Also, evidently you used to be able to get Superia 400, Reala, etc in medium format as well and it’s a great disappointment to me that I never got to shoot it, hoping for 120 Solaris too!We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. While C200 does continue this trend, don’t be fooled into thinking it’ll present your sunny-at-the-time holiday memories as some gloomy alternate reality.

The wide exposure latitude and dynamic range, which to be fair most other consumer grade films have too, make it highly unlikely your results are going to be over or underexposed, even on a bright beach. By choosing C200, I wanted to see if consumer films could still do that for me, even as an experienced shooter. Fujifilm film recipes that mimic real world film looks are a useful resource for owners of X-Series cameras. That ISO 200 rating is good too, freeing you up to shoot in slightly worse light than you could with the Industrial 100, or any ISO 100 film for that matter. The first time I took this film was because I had an urgent need of negative film to take on a holiday.Anyone starting film photography on a budget will definitely not splurge for Velvia, Portra or Ektar…. Interesting comparison, I’ve shot both myself (although a lot more C200 than Colorplus) and always liked the results. Washington is depicted surrounded by 13 maidens in an inner ring with many Greek and Roman gods and goddesses below him in a second ring.

And the red in the dress of the couple shot - can't help but think "Damn that would have been nicer in Portra" So there you go!I used this recipe on X100V going +1/-1 for the tone curve and mistakenly used Classic Chrome instead of Classic Neg and the results are really good! It is essentially Superia film, but without the 4th layer technology, hence the fact it is a more economical option.

That being said, I dread the day that I can’t recommend C200 or any other consumer film because they’ve all been discontinued, and it looks that’ll happen sooner rather than later. Designed for flexibility and ease of use, Fujicolor C200 35mm works equally well outdoors in daylight or indoors with flash.
