With Is This It, their debut album, the Strokes burst onto the music scene with a slouching, drawling rock'n'roll shrug that epitomized the frenetic nostalgia of the early 2000s. But years on, the casual objectification and sexual provocation of the image speaks volumes about the music and fashion scenes at the time, and just how much they have changed. The band consists of lead vocalist Julian Casablancas, guitarists Nick Valensi and Albert Hammond Jr. This was the first vinyl I ever bought alongside Room on Fire at the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame during a trip in 2010.

If someone out there has vinyl copies of the original and later pressings, there are probably subtle runout variations that could differentiate the pressings.
