Webster originally grew in renown for providing new soundtracks to Liverpool Football Club’s rising fortunes, playing to 60,000 fans attending the 2019 Champions League Final in Madrid and performing around the world, as far afield as Australia and Dubai. The positioning of the songs in the album compliments his music well as it doesn’t give the listener the feeling that they are listening to the same song on repeat which can be found with a number of artists. Though Liverpool seems to be very aware of the 24-year-olds talent, this album is set to capture the rest of the nation soon enough. Sitting around the middle of the album is Somethings Gotta Give talking about the harsh realities of life. The message of hope is an important one that should resonate with everyone who is struggling through these strange times.

It has similar origins to Diamonds in the Mud by Gerry Cinnamon but without the specifics towards the certain place. We carry a broad range of CDs and vinyl (7”/12” singles and LPs) and specialise in indie, alternative, rock, punk, metal plus a few other genres. But listeners will struggle to find a more heartfelt tribute to a home than This Place, the reassuring feel everyone gets whenever a front door is opened set to words, little parochialisms and love wrapped into infectious togetherness, optimism and hope. The Joker’ tells a story of loss, with the lyrical content being placed front-and-centre, and only simple accompanying guitar instrumentation.

The messages of his songs are raw and vital, as each track clearly has a purpose and there are no filler moments. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. Webster cuts more to the chase than his forebears though, saying We Get By, ‘documents and asks questions of the struggles, joys and escapes of everyday working-class life. Opening track ‘Down the Road’ is energetic and distinctive, immediately highlighting Webster’s ability to craft tracks that feel simultaneously classic and modern. Whatever the story, there’s much of the past in his music, a conscious anachronism in an era when the present is constantly trying to erase itself. The first song on the album is Down The Road, it gives you a clear impression of the style of music that Webster is going to grace the listener with through this album. Due to inventory and accounting purposes, we do not exchange items received for different items than originally purchased. Better still to square the Liverpudlian and former electrician in the folk tradition, but only because he chooses the least complicated ways to connect with people; a strummed guitar, some welcoming chords and a proudly accented voice, basic tools made good by joy and artistry. Restrictions put in place due to coronavirus have caused disruptions to everyone’s lives, but couples are one group of people seemingly left in limbo – so, what do restrictions in Tier 2 and Tier 3 mean for couples?

Stop Living Blind’ and ‘Somethings Gotta Give’ offer a more mellow and laid back side to Webster, illustrating the range of the project. Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH).Though a small number of songs could slip through the cracks the majority of the album consists of songs that should feature permanently in your playlists. Webster describes the city as his heart and it reminds the listener of the impact your home town can have on a person. The next song and a personal favourite of mine is Living for Yesterday which is already one of Webster’s singles. These days, that’s a hard thing to find, as fooling ourselves has become a national sport, a blight the singer lays out on opener Down The Road, its scuffed-up indie rock immediate proof that this isn’t just another street corner urchin with a grab bag of hope. It has an acoustic start with a slow tempo which takes a complete turn when an unsuspecting tempo change hits the listener taking away a sense of predictability that might be expected from this genre of music.
