Description

The first installment of the Maybe trilogy, Maybe Someday follows a 22-year-old college student who, after discovering her boyfriend is cheating on her, finds herself interested in her mysterious, guitar-playing neighbor Ridge. Keep in mind that this is after he 3rd November 9th they have spent together, roughly 12 hours they have spent together in total since they first met and after the first time they have sex.... This November 9 summary acts as a study guide for the standalone book (one of Colleen Hoover’s best books), including:

And then… he laughs. Laughs. As if me living in New York is a joke. Stay calm, Fallon. Your father is an asshole. That’s old news.

Fallon’s mother reads it and convinces her to read it. It explains that Ben’s mother committed suicide, and he blamed it on Fallon’s father, Donovan, who was dating her at the time and had broken up with her. So, Ben set fire to Donovan’s car, which spread to the house where Fallon was staying.

Their second year meeting begins with a phone call in which Ben tells Fallon that his oldest brother, Kyle, has died in a car accident. Fallon flies to California to support Ben, who has been living with Kyle and his pregnant wife, Jordyn, in their childhood home. Fallon and Ben are intimate, and it seems a relationship will ensue. Ben wants to move to New York to be with her, but she believes it’s best for him to stay to support Kyle’s widow and child. Please don't tell me you're one of those pretentious readers who judge people by the books they like."The sequel to Hopeless, Losing Hope unravels Dean’s guilt-ridden past and his early childhood encounters with a troubled Sky. The relationship between writers and the truth is something I find fascinating. I especially like it when authors structure their novel so it's like a book within a book, or a story within a story, and you can't be sure whether you're reading the "truth" or what the writer wants you to believe. November 9 touches upon that concept... barely. I stiffen beneath the guy’s arm when I feel his lips press against the side of my head. Damn L.A. traffic, he mutters. I have to stop this, otherwise my head is going to explode. I’m not shaming anyone who likes this book, but I can’t believe it has escaped notice of so many people. I can’t believe I’m the only person who’s livid.
