Description

Fortunately, before self-isolating, I managed to buy some good coloured willow withies for the broom head from a local Withies grower (I live in Somerset, England). I had also already bought some heavy brass wire and some brass rod. So my next job is to create the broom and then I’m going to reproduce the footrest as seen in the earliest (and smallest) form. You shouldn't forget the physics involved: aerodynamics, the density and lightness of the wood used, etc. This is also on the part of the maker. Maybe some of them have studied some basics of (muggle) physics and used this knowledge to improve their art. So we’ll be starting off on making our own brooms as part of our costumes. Hooray! Having perfect broom = priceless. Learning woodworking? We’ll see how it goes. Adding the Nimbus 2000 symbol to your broom

Carving the logo into the handle and painting it with gold paint ( I made a Nimbus 2000 for a birthday present on imgur)That could refer to the simple overriding of the First Years can't have them rule... But, given how much McGonagall grumbled about losing the Quidditch Cup before, I think she arranged it, either on her own, or as part of the normal process of getting a 'Replacement' broom for a worn out one. Of the two, I think getting the school (i.e., Dumbledore) to arrange it is most likely, given her personality. In the main, I used the pictures from the Diagon Alley shop window, the table-top unwrapping of the new broom and those of Ron Weasley holding the broken broom (this shows the laminated construction particularly well). Europe: Goods of €22 to €150 may be subject to a local VAT charge. Goods over €150 are charged VAT and may also face customs duties. June 2019 update: My home-brewed Nimbus 2000 is complete! Here’s a finished pic of the decal I made using this SVG:

rig the broom for the tallest/widest location first since you can always shorten the rope lines later for a shorter/narrower location if necessary. The shape of my broom wasn't quite right in retrospect. The head of the broom should be a bit larger and have a flatter profile, almost coming to a point if seen from above like an oar or paddle. Easily rectified if I build another one. On looking at the various stills from the film it became obvious that there were at least 4 different brooms used in shooting, each a little different to the others. So hopefully without compromising the overall design I’ve blended some of the minor differences in detail from 3 of the original brooms into my final design.

Silver Arrow: mentioned in passing by Madam Hooch as being the type of broom she learned on, one no longer made. She had also commented that Firebolts remind her of Silver Arrows.

In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, it was mentioned that Ron's old Shooting Star was often outstripped by passing butterflies. As a reminder, players can uninstall the Nimbus 2000 mod in Hogwarts Legacy anytime. If you no longer want to use the Nimbus 2000 3D model instead of the Yew Weaver Broom, access the game files again and remove the following files: z_nimbus2000_P.pak, z_nimbus2000_P.ucas, z_nimbus2000_P.utoc from the ~mods folder (\Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks~mods). In Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Wood says that they should get Harry a Nimbus 2000 or a Cleansweep Seven, the implication being that these are about equal quality – top of the line for that model year.Cut off a triangle-shaped section at the base of the handle, as shown in the first picture. This will create a flat edge that is flush with the bottom of the base when then handle is at a 20-30 degree angle, making it easier and more stable for the rider to hold comfortably while flying. On the other hand, they surely have a budget for outfitting the teams; it's possible she just blew the budget for the next year or so on what she considered a good investment, when she got it for him.
