the climax was amazing and there was a point (when martin broke our of jail) that i couldn't put the book down at all. I've enjoyed some of Jane Corry's previous books, but unfortunately, despite some strong points, this one didn't really hit the spot for me. Like everyone else it seems, I was thoroughly surprised by the WWII historical fiction pieces taking up a solid 2/3 of this book.

My favourite time line was of Elizabeth during WW2 at her home Three Chimneys and the cast of characters that surrounded her. Jane's latest novel 'Coming To Find You' reached number 7 in the Sunday Times in June 2023 and is being published by Doubleday in the USA and Canada on December 19th 2023.Relieved the trial is over Nancy heads to Sidmouth to her grandmother Adeline’s home Tall Chimney’s now owned by Nancy. However, it looks as if at ‘Tall Trees’, it is not so much the media but the past trying to find Nancy.

To escape the media and peering eyes she unlocked Tall Chimneys, her grandmother's home which was bequeathed to Nancy. I was driven to Google ‘conchie’ and ‘grockle’ and was excited to discover ‘why’ I clean when I’m stressed.But the house has secrets, too, and as Nancy tries to escape the present, the past catches up with her. As each chapter reveals things regarding Nancy, the alternating chapters tell the story of Elizabeth and her guests in Tall Chimney’s, what happened during the war. The majority of the story took place in Tall Chimneys (which was in England),an older boarding house turned summer home. Tall Chimneys has a history all of its own and we also follow Elizabeth in this story, who owned the house during World War II. I will note that historical fiction is not usually my cup of tea, and I would normally pass on a book identifying itself as historical.

I look forward to reading other books by this author and can certainly recommend this one to others.What are the secrets that tie the two women to the house and will past secrets come back to haunt them. As we journey with the characters in Coming to Find You, we are caught up in the lives of people living in different generations. Her writing is beautiful as she manages to create great drama but also emotional attachment to the characters in this book. This is one of the first times I've really been able to connect with characters and understand their feelings about their experiences. Additionally, there is a second storyline not mentioned in the summary surrounding Nancy’s grandmothers friend Elizabeth, the previous owner of Tall Chimneys.
