Description

The RGB lighting is the most aesthetically pleasing feature of Logitech X56. You can set it to match, complement, or contrast to the color of your gaming keyboard, making for a beautiful setup. Normally I play sound through my 2.1 full range speaker system through the PC optical out connection but being in the early hours and not wanting to wake the wife I connected my new Turtle Beach recon headset for the first time using the green and pink connections on the front of the desktop unit and had to fiddle about with the sound settings to get it to work. Previously with my old stereo headphones I just connected to the headphone output on the DAC. CH Pro Throttle and t16000m. Throttle is very good. T16000m is very accurate due to its hall sensors. I like the twist. Together they have enough buttons that you don't need the 16000m base buttons for much (I have them mapped to landing gear/fsd, stuff you hardly need to press). T16000m suffers from the finger switch micro switch wearing out after a couple of years. Had two now, just replaced the microswitch in the current one (like a bit of soldering). But they are so cheap they are replaceable.

With button configuration and layout vitally important for many games; this is especially true for flight and space simulators. A lot of gamers enjoy having a separate control for throttle as it offers more versatility, and extra speed, at your fingertips.

i know of the thrustmaster t6000 i think its called but i dont like the older style look of it and the button styles it has, and the only other options i know of, is the brands vkb and virpil, i could get the vkb gladiatior as thats in my price range but then it does not have a pinky trigger like the x56 does or the more pricer options of vkb or virpil, but im not sure if thats needed and i dont know of andy stand alone throttle besides thrustmaster, and again the x56 throttle looks a lot more apealing in terms of button layout, but i might be not understanding it as i dont know much about this stuff so it might be good

None of that takes away from the professional, satisfying feel of the whole setup. Sure, there are some oddities with the reverse thrust levers being not the most intuitive, but otherwise, there's hardly a thing about this yoke that feels out of place. Most actual pilots I've spotted reviewing this yoke are really impressed with how accurate the design is compared to the real deal. Moving on to the Logitech X56 H.O.T.A.S.: it was loved by Windows Central and PC Gamer - two reliable sources that conduct their own in-depth testing. In fact, it was named "Good value full HOTAS setup" and "Ranked 2 out of 7" in their respective roundups, which points to it being a product worthy of consideration.First impression*: Extremely scared that I would have had to return item after 10 minutes. The throttle was not calibrated where mid-throttle was registering as 0% and there was no way to calibrate within windows. Turned out that there is internal calibrations. See bottom of review for the BKM on fixing this which can also be found on forums for the older version of the x56 (x55) The throttle is also super tight for a while, I've had mine for a few months and the resistance is where I want it now but I did have to break it in first and turn the resistance down as far as I could.

Programmable Buttons?: Tailor your own profiles to enhance most Thrustmaster flight controllers with Thrustmaster advanced programming graphical editor software. For Logitech X56, the flight training and control binding took around three hours; time well spent, and we’d recommend that new X-56 users, especially those unfamiliar with HOTAS setups in general, do the same.i managed to get mine to work better in fact it doesn't do it anymore since i turned on chat on to tabs. Another issue is the throttle itself. It isn't bad per se but its design does mean that it is rather limited (especially when dealing with twin engine aircraft). These days, even entry level HOTAS setups really should be twin throttle at a minimum.
