It’s a common misconception that men don’t experience emotions as deeply as women do. But research shows that this isn’t true – men experience emotions just as powerfully as women do. The difference is that society doesn’t give men the same leeway to express their emotions. It’s not seen as socially acceptable for men to cry when they’re sad, so they often bottle up their emotions instead. This can make it seem like men don’t experience Sadness at all, when in reality they just express it differently. On October 18th, an anonymous 4chan user submitted a post to /r9k/ with the green text "think for your whole life that you are intelligent / you are actually a brainlet" (shown below).
