Description

CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser is claimed to do all of the things a normal cleanser would do — remove dirt, makeup, and other debris — but without disrupting the skin’s natural protective barrier or stripping the skin of its natural moisture. It is a non-comedogenic face wash that works well on all skin types, even those with acne-prone or sensitive skin. Traditionaloil cleansers use oils and other nourishing ingredients to help hydrate and thoroughly removeimpurities, dirt, and excessoilthat can build up on your skin. We recommend choosing aformulathat combines oil-based ingredients and surfactants, like ourHydrating FoamingOil Cleanser, whichcleanses without disrupting the skin barrier or stripping the skin of essential moisture. Whilst naturally found in skin, the plant-derived qualities of squalene oil and triglyceride work to replenish the skin’s surface after cleansing to provide long-lasting hydration. This squalane cleanser provides a nourishing touch, leaving the skin balanced, soft and smooth, while removing any form of tightness. A nourishing face wash for allergy-prone skin, this oil-based cleanser is non-comedogenic and contains no parabens or dyes, making it suitable for those with eczema-prone skin.

Alleviate rough and bumpy skin texture with this fast-absorbing, non-greasy, hydrating smoothing cream. It also features moisturising MultiVesicular Technology [MVE] to maintain hydration levels in the skin for 24 hours. Like most cleansers, CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser includes surfactants as the key ingredients. For example, this cleanser includes PEG-40 stearate and sodium lauroyl lactylate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Oil cleansersoffer multiple benefits when used as part of your daily cleansing routine. For starters, oil cleansers areeffective at breaking down oil-based residue that can build up on your skin (such as makeup). They also can help hydrate your skin while they cleanse. This means you can wash your face without leaving your skin feeling tight, dry, or uncomfortable. Because of their hydrating properties, oil cleansers are a popular choice for people with dry skin. Those with sensitive skin may want to consider them, too. Yes, CeraVe Hydrating FoamingOil Cleanseris suitable for use as a face cleanser and body cleanser. You can use this product as the first step in your facial care or body care routine. After cleansing, continue with the rest of your routine, which should include a non-comedogenic moisturizer and broad-spectrum sunscreen. However for me, it lost a star, as I was a bit confused about the product being marketed as an “oil cleanser”. As someone who has double cleansed for years, on days when I wear make up, and have tried multiple balm/oil cleansers as a first step to remove makeup, this product was not marketed as a makeup remover. I tried it at first like instructed then decided to use it like my usual oil cleanser (DHC) but found it less effective at removing makeup, and stung my eyes. It does foam up quite a bit when using with water and doesn’t leave any oily feeling to the skin (great!). Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).

Whereas facial cleansers are formulated with the delicate skin on your face in mind, body cleansers are designed to support the skin on your body (which can affect the concentration of active ingredients used, for example). Always read the label carefully to discover if your cleanser has been formulated for use on your face, body, or in some cases, is suitable for both. Like other Cerave products, this one is unscented, very hydrating to my dry skin and not foaming. It has a slightly similar consistency to Cerave Hydrating Cleaner only this one is transparent. I usually use micellar water to clean SPF and any other makeup products before cleaning it with my cleanser. Surprise surprise, the product does the same job as my micellar water! Very clean yet hydrating, it didn't dry out my skin at all and my face doesn't feel tight after wash. Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS. Traditional oil cleansers, as the name suggests, are oil-based cleansing formulas. These products usually emulsify (lather) into a foaming texture when applied with water. They often feature plant-based oils in their formulas, such as squalane oil. CeraVe’s Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser combines oil-based ingredients and surfactants in an efficacious cleansing formula. I was hoping this might be a wonder product that helps take off my makeup - but alas it's more a take the day off when I am having a makeup-free day or after an oil cleanser first -- but that is fine. I hope that CeraVe one day bring out a line of an oil cleanser to remove makeup because I would pledge my allegiance and they would be the ultimate holy grail products!!Typically, you’ll find this kind of product in the shower of people with very dry or sensitized skin! I myself use one very often, especially in winter when my crocodile skin is acting up. Ceramides are a family of waxy lipid molecules that are naturally produced by the skin and are vital in supporting the skin’s barrier (the stratum corneum). A properly functioning stratum corneum is essential for healthy skin as it maintains epidermal hydration and serves as a barrier that responds to environmental stressors, infections, irritants, and allergens. A surfactant molecule contains one end that is hydrophilic (attracted to water) and one end that is lipophilic (attracted to oil). This allows surfactants to attract and suspend oils, dirt, and other impurities that have accumulated on the skin and wash them away, leaving the skin clean.
