I know he's gone through some serious health issues and I hope he's doing better, but why isn't this title pushed forward as the next title to release, since it's been in the queue for so long? Eddie Peck) and Lisa (Jill Schoelen, The Stepfather ) road-tripping through the desert, unaware that they’re driving through a nuclear test site that’s mutated the local snakes. In a script that’s not that great, it does the critical thing that matters most in a creature feature.

The extras here include audio comments from director Ted Bohus and editor Marc Harwood, an introduction with Bohus, casting tapes, and even a gag reel. Alternate Opening (4:43, SD) offers little to no discernible changes from the theatrical cut outside of a different opening title sequence.Matty casts his eye over Glenn Takakjian’s icky sci-fi horror, and the sharp-suited bad guy at its gooey centre.

The difference here is that the horror elements are so well executed that you’ll often forget that you were laughing only a couple of minutes ago. After finishing off the campers, the hungry space monsters head for a nearby town, where they make their domain in the basement of an old house soon begin polishing off one hapless inhabitant after another. The success of Alien, as well as a changing political climate and a new desire for B-Movies all contributed to this. This sequel is a B-movie through and through, but there’s some fantastic creature work here, and Schoelen is always a plus in horror. Soon however, his guts are sticking to some sharp teeth, as an unknown creature has emerged from the impact and devoured him.He also works on other magazines, including Monster Bash, Horror Biz, Monster Mania and Monsterpalooza. What goes around always seems to come around again, and it may not be long before we find ourselves watching strange creatures from beyond the stars wreak havoc on small, unassuming towns. Shot on 16MM with a budget of just over twenty grand, this movie comes off as a slick, well produced motion picture. The fanzine had been started by El Paso effects fan Jay Duncan and Bohus in the 1970s; Bohus resurrected the title 20 years later and continues publishing it on an irregular basis.

Colors are boosted but clotted, with red making a satisfactory impression from costuming and bloodletting. Minor issues aside, the largest complain from me is the ample use of Digital Noise Reduction that is at play here. In addition to contributing to Wicked Horror, Nathaniel Brehmer has also written for Horror Bid, HorrorDomain, Dread Central, Bloody Disgusting, We Got This Covered, and more. The only options are an ancient DVD, an upscaled blu-ray with heavy DNR, or a German upscaled blu-ray with less DNR.Vampire and Encounters of the Spooky Kind, with a cast of stars such as Sammo Hung, Lam Ching Ying and Cherie Chung. Starring: Michael Jai White , John Leguizamo , Martin Sheen , Theresa Randle , Nicol Williamson , D.
