Some have said the music was noteworthy. Personally, I didn't notice the music -- but I'll just assume that means it fit the mood well. What I did notice was the voice of The Moaner. Films with phantom callers are not unusual, but I don't think any of them do what this film does with the creep. Some strange calls. Of course, if your attic is filled with these flies already, you aren’t immediately concerned with how to keep them out–a problem you should deal with later. Most commonly, they move from the ground to your attic for the winter when it gets cold; thus, the common name they have of attic flies.

Dan has a story about a home in San Francisco that was reportedly infested with a LOT of paranormal activity for several months in the mid-19th century. It is unusually well-documented amount of activity witnessed by many. Then his second story takes us to Arkansas where we explore a haunting set in the unique location of the Plum Bayou Mounds Archeological State Park, formerly known as "Toltec Mounds Archeological State Park.” Lynze has four tales this week making it a longer episode, yay! She has two possible skinwalker sightings, an encounter with the folk lore of the Irish Banshee and then a really intense doppleganger story! Set in a Sorority house as college breaks up for Christmas and the girls prepare to go home. They start to receive a series of obscene phone calls and one of them disappears; the viewer knows that she has been killed by an unseen killer and dragged up to the house's attic. The police aren't interested at first believing she probably just went off with a boy. Eventually they take an interest but they are looking in the wrong places and never thing to search the house itself; the only person to look into the attic is promptly killed and isn't missed as she was meant to be going away. Gradually, the need to conceal the relationship from both Fred and the neighbors led to Sanhuber moving into the Oesterreichs' attic, which was accessible through a panel in the ceiling of the closet of the bedroom Walburga shared with her husband. Sanhuber was supplied with a cot, food, a lamp, books, and writing materials. During the day he would perform housework in the residence; at night he would live in total silence in the attic, reading and writing science fiction stories, which Walburga would mail to potential publishers for him. Sanhuber would later describe himself as Walburga's "sex slave" and claimed they made love up to eight times a day. [4] Fred remained unaware of Sanhuber's presence in the house. [3] The cast are all great, especially movie legend JOHN SAXON (A Nightmare on Elm Street) as the local police lieutenant & also the excellent Margot Kidder (Lois Lane from Superman) but all the girls do a fine job of bringing the fun 'N' banter & the terror. I totally dug the Cinematography/look & mood of this Classic & i can see why this is Classed as a Slasher/ Horror Masterpiece just like John Carpenter's Halloween & Tobe Hooper's Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the 70's crafted some of the greatest & most impact full Horror's of Cinema History.Attics usually have a passive ventilation system that lets outside air come through soffit vents and then leaves through the can or ridge vents on the top of the roof. From the beginning of the marriage, Walburga was rumored to have invited many lovers into her home during the day while Fred worked at the mills. In 1913, when she was 33, Walburga was introduced to Otto Sanhuber, a 17-year-old sewing-machine repairman who worked for her husband. [1] She invited Sanhuber to her home to fix her sewing machine, beginning an intense affair. To avoid suspicion from the neighbors, Walburga explained that Sanhuber was her " vagabond half-brother". [2] [3] Removing mold from attic plywood is relatively simple if you follow the steps above. It is important to take precautions and wear protective gear when removing mold to prevent health risks. Make sure to take steps to prevent mold growth in your attic by fixing any leaks or moisture problems. How to Prevent Attic Mold In Bedford, most of the girls of the sorority house Pi Kappa Sigma that is administrated by Mrs. Mac (Marian Waldman) travel in the Christmas holiday to the houses of their families. Clare Harrison (Lynne Griffin) schedules to meet her father on the afternoon; however, an intruder kills her in her room, hides her body in the attic and Mr. Harrison (James Edmond) never sees his daughter. Meanwhile Jess (Olivia Hussey) receives obscene anonymous phone calls while Phyl (Andrea Martin) and Barb (Margot Kidder) go to the precinct with Mr. Harrison to report that Clare is missing. Lieutenant Kenneth Fuller (John Saxon) is interviewing a mother that reported that her thirteen year-old daughter has never got home and the police organize a search party. When they find the body of the girl in a park, Lt. Fuller asks to bug the telephone of the sisters. Meanwhile the prowler has killed Mrs. Mac and is stalking the three sisters. Dan's first story is really three stories mixed with some local lore. First, after going over the kinds of paranormal encounters most often reported from people visiting Virginia’s Braley, we explore the story of a murder that took place that that has added to its reputation as a paranormal hotspot. Then, we’ll go over what an area ghost hunter claims happened to them there. And finally, a young woman’s terrifying modern encounter claim. After that, we’ll be off to Canada to cover a whole bunch of lore associated with numerous sightings of a night hag in Newfoundland. Lynze shares just one big story this week about a less scary but rather helpful spiritual hitchhiker!

The cast of this film is great and contains a number of stars. The wonderful Olivia Hussey is sympathetic as our leading lady. Keir Dullea is strong as Hussey's boy friend, who's been behaving rather strangely. Margot Kidder provides some comic relief as the sorority bad-girl. John Saxon is solid as the police lieutenant who's trying to solve a murder. Supporting cast Marian Waldman, Andrea Martin, Art Hindle, and Douglas McGrath are terrific as well. Just who was the real Dolly, the woman dubbed a “naughty vamp” during the lurid murder trial that dominated headlines of the day? Born in Germany in 1880, Walburga “Dolly” Korschel immigrated to America but found life pretty grim on a farm-until, when she was in her early 20s, she married the wealthy Fred Oesterreich, owner of a Milwaukee apron factory.
