I cut a hole in the bottom front of the box and took a cheap flashlight from Home Depot (or Target or gas station) unscrewed the top light and placed it in the hole. I also had to cut the legs off the Farmer John suit just below the knee to allow more breathability for my skin as well as allow for accuracy on. Metal shoulder pads, apt for 1986 when the story was set, and plastic tubing were fixed together with nuts and bolts. To simplify the job I aimed for how the chest unit looked on later display without the circuitry in the side panels. Additionally, I put some decorations on the fingers, adding leather patches and gluing on some bits of tech from the smashed CD player mentioned earlier.

There is no peripheral vision so you have to be careful, but walking in a slow and deliberate manner does not exactly destroy the illusion of being a Cyberman! But if the inner arm is too big for your arm, then cut a slice out of it and the detail will fit, and the arm. The actual talking comes from off screen with someone using one of those electronic voice box vibrators for people who have lost there voice.

Honestly, you'd be fine with a pair of pre-made silver gloves, or any other gloves you like that could be painted silver. so I added a dark blue photography gel to the eye holes inside and a stetch of black nylon from some pantyhose for the mouth and they worked fine. I used the same tubing that I have on the mask, and to make things (relatively) easy, I decided to utilize RCA cable connectors.

With a design taken from the classic 1982 story “Earthshock” this amazing T-shirt is perfect for any one who feels the need to ‘upgrade’! Like the Invasion Cybermen, I always assumed the Revenge version used a Scuba Wet Suit for the base. The helmet also features vent holes drilled to the cheek areas and eye mesh which is attached from the interior of the helmet with two lugs to the bottom and hooks to the side of the head to affix the back plate which is sadly missing.

The costume consists of five main features: the mask, the suit, the chest console, the boots, and the gloves. What I did was to cut the straps off of the overalls, and glue (and then wire-mount) the ends to the back of the console. You can use whatever process you find easiest when it comes to building the infrastructure of the mask, but keep in mind that you want the finished product to be as symmetrical as possible. I added some black lines to suggest jointed segments, and sprayed them with the same acrylic topcoat that I used on the suit, just to be on the safe side.

I scraped away the paint from the necessary areas on the Wiffle Balls, and epoxied the tubes onto them. My profile contains a number of instructables where I go into much greater detail about the actual papier mache process, so I will kind of gloss over that here.

Because neoprene absorbs the paint it takes *several* coats and a primer to get it to really gleam silver. I also cut holes on the right side and glued the switches in place, making the electrical portion of the console completely self-contained. An original 1960s Cyberman helmet used in the production of the long running BBC television series Doctor Who, during the reign of Patrick Troughton as The Doctor. I also epoxied on a couple of lengths of wire on the skull area, and added black plastic tubing around the flange.
