About this deal

There’s a large embossed company logo on the headband to aid with orientation and the ear cups seem just a little bit thicker than those on the standard version, presumably to accommodate the battery and the extra Bluetooth gubbins. According to the manual, double-tapping the touch-sensitive, AKG-branded disc on the left earcup should handle play/pause; swiping left or right is supposed to skip forward or go back a track; and swiping up and down ought to increase or decrease volume. But even for the casual listener, in a sea of wireless headphone propositions, these closed-back over-ears still stand out. I prefer it over the more resolving ZMF Atticus when it comes to FR, bass quality(Atticus sucks here and is fairly dirty) the mid range timbre is better on the 371, Atticus has a rather bumpy mid to treble. The trade-off for this though is a noticeable difference in sound quality compared to when using them with a wired connection - but why should this be?

The Verum 1 for example I feel beats all Audeze phones outside of the 4 and offers an amazing tone, FR that many planars pack. In Sia’s Chandelier, meanwhile, the intentional compression, noise and grainy texture that helps dirty up Sia’s range later on is revealed, as the K371-BT continue to dig up more detail than you’d expect for the money. The transmission range seems decent - whilst listening, we left the computer playing and wandered through the next room into the hallway and up some stairs with no dropouts or degradation whatsoever. It has a headband pad made with rubber plastic instead of foam you'd mostly find in several headphones and even though this might not be much of a problem, it would've surely been better if it came with foam.

I tried them with different devices but i really felt like the highs were unbalanced compared to mids and lows (listening to metalcore and i could hear the cymbals and snares over the vocals and the other instruments). There are several standards of codec knocking about, all of varying bitrates, with higher bitrate codecs generally resulting in better sound quality.

Whether you're a dedicated audiophile or simply looking to upgrade your listening experience, we'll guide you through a detailed analysis of these headphones. Alongside Beyerdynamic and Sennheiser, AKG completes the triumvirate of top-line, professional headphone brands that have been ubiquitous in studios for decades. AAC is the licence-free standard for YouTube and Apple devices, but it doesn’t perform particularly well on Android devices and isn’t supported by Windows at all. They are a wired, transportable closed back that apparently measures along with the Harman response quite nicely.
