Overall, I really enjoyed this book! While there were a few things I didn't love, those things didn't ruin the rest of the book for me. I liked the romance between Mauve and Weston and liked seeing them grow in the relationship. Dos institutos rivales. Wes es el capitán del equipo de fútbol americano rival al del hermano de Maeve. Ambos equipos y en general toda la población de ambas ciudades se odian a muerte. Pero que pasa cuando Wes y Maeve se conocen y son sólo Wes y Maeve 🥹❤️‍🩹🫶🏻 Problem is, neither of them is looking for a relationship. At most, they’re meant to be a summer fling. Definitely not a happily ever after.

Lastly, I wish I could have gotten to know Mauve's twin, Liam, a little better. Or he at least could have had more screen time. He's basically only mentioned in passing until the very end which I was sad about. To be such an important person in Mauve's life, we hardly ever see him. Wes and Maeve met in secret majority of the time but I adored when she came to the final game in his jersey to support him 💞💘. It basically showed everyone that they needed to mind their business and she was going to love him despite the rivalry in the town, which was so unserious really. Why is her father, a grown adult holding some vendetta over a teenage boy? Liam, I understand but her father was so dramatic but I’m glad that Wes talked to him at the end and called him out for not being at Maeve’s games 🥅 ⚽️. My girl deserved better, especially because she’s so talented. I loved her so much, and she’s extremely dedicated to the sport. Her success was so overly looked, she won, she played she was involved and they overlooked her like she was nothing. And it pained me, that the world saw her or her family name not of her own achievements. Lastly, I wish I could have gotten to know Mauve’s twin, Liam, a little better. Or he at least could have had more screen time. He’s basically only mentioned in passing until the very end which I was sad about. To be such an important person in Mauve’s life, we hardly ever see him. I also had a lot of fun getting to know both characters' sets of friends. We don't spend loads of time with each group since our main characters are always sneaking away to see each other, but I appreciated the time we had with them.Ever since her younger sister’s engagement was announced, Harper Williams has been dreading the wedding. What should be a joyous, sun-drenched affair is sure to be filled with plenty of awkward moments, thanks to Harper’s strained relationship with her only sibling. Awkwardness enhanced by the wedding’s location—a lake in Maine, swimming with painful memories of their late father.

Charlotte lives in Rhode Island and when she isn’t writing spends her free time reading, at the beach, or snuggling with her Australian Shepherd.

Unfortunately, Piper’s promotion involves the charming cowboy she’s spent years attempting to avoid. And flying to middle of nowhere, Texas, in a desperate attempt to talk the king of country music into returning to the stage. One thing that kinda bothered me was the timing of things. Like one chapter something would happen and then the next chapter would take place a week or two later. And that's how most of the book was. As well, there were a few times where Mauve or Weston would mention something that happened between the two of them, but it was like off the record. For example, Mauve got one of Weston's sweatshirts, but we never see her get it. She just tells her she got it from him at some point. This happened with things a few times which I didn't love, but it didn't ruin the story for me. Why were her friends so shitty when they found out about Wes… I understand they were concerned but it was unfair of them to make her feel like she wasn’t important to him. They automatically assumed he would play her when they didn’t know him at all… Maggie was at least nice about it but LIVED in the rival town, why was she not more supportive. Because I do. Love her. Even though there are a lot of reasons why I probably shouldn’t. Those reasons have never made sense, though, and they’ve become sillier and sillier the more time I’ve spent with Maeve.”
