My go-to test song for headphones is Fireflies by Owl City (ugh), and I was surprised at just how well the Crusher Evos responded to the chorus. Nevertheless, the sound seems relatively clear and the trebles are also nicely accentuated, but they are rendered a bit exaggerated and sharp at high volumes. You should therefore use the control rather discreetly, because in the lower third, the haptic bass can definitely have a positive impact on the sound image. That small cutout minimizes the pressure at the crown of the head and makes these headphones way more comfortable to wear for long listening sessions.

On the bright side, the small cutout in the headband that I liked from the Skullcandy Crusher Wireless is still there and even more noticeable.

I find the sweet spot to be about one-quarter of the way up, which should give you some sort of indication of just how aggressive this slider is.
