Description

The PA5 is a dinky Class D power amp claiming to deliver 65W RMS per channel into 8 ohms for less than 1% distortion, or 85W into 8 ohms with distortion rising to 10%. It measures 150x130x40mm and has a chunky outboard power supply. There are two sets of balanced inputs using TRS connectors and a single set of loudspeaker outputs for spade terminals or 4mm plugs. The front panel has a power on/off switch and a selector for the two balanced inputs. Topping E50 is equipped with the latest-generation 16-core XMOS USB signal receiver chip, the XMOS XU216. It provides support for high-resolution PCM 32-Bit/768kHz and native DSD512 decoding support over a USB connection. It also supports full MQA decoding with a USB connection. Users need to install ASIO drivers by Topping to get the full potential performance with the E50. Ultra-Low Jitter Using CPLD Processing:- One of the reasons headphones and earphones in India are more expensive than overseas is because of the Goods & Services Tax in India.

The E50 has all the commonly used inputsUSB, optical and coaxial and can either be powered by a USB Charger type power supply or direct from your computer with the cable (supplied). The E50 can by used as a semi portable product for when you are on the move and need something a little better in your hotel room / office etc. The issue of maximizing volume when lowering the volume level to -99 when playing DSD on the E50 has been resolved by a firmware update from Topping. |I cant keep up. Still have my original dx7, but why so many variations of dacs, headphone amps? How many does Topping now make and how do you differentiate between the products?Speakers/Monitors: Adam Audio F7, Presonus Eris E4.5, Swan Hivi D1080 IV-BT, Edifier r1280DB, Nobsound NS-2000(Customs), Swan Hivi M10. Three different anti-aliasing filters are provided, selectable via the supplied remote control, with 'fast roll-off – minimum' being the default setting. This sounds like an exciting feature, but on most music, much of the time, there wasn't a huge degree of difference in terms of sound – the changes were pretty subtle. Nevertheless, this cute little device has an extremely clear, clean and detailed sound for its price – and of course, it is an inexpensive way into MQA. It is easy to use and has a very handy (for some) balanced output facility. It's hard not to recommend, all things considered. As the name implies, anything branded as studio headphones is designed especially for a studio setting with a particular focus on accuracy and transparency for monitoring and mixing.

Are any folks using the E50's balanced output in preamp mode to drive powered monitors. Is that working well? Was rummaging the house for a 5V charger just to try. All the 5V have smaller plugs but I found a Linear Power Supply with the right plug... but it's 12v Had no idea I had one of those but apparently that's what my router uses. The feature set in the iFi Zen Stream or Node 2i sans DAC is a pretty good start. Minimum requirements though: E50 uses a DC5V power supply, which can be easily accessed almost everywhere. You can power it up by USB port of PC, mobile phone charger or even a power bank. With the PA5 in control, it was only specific music with sub 30Hz content that let you immediately know the subs weren't in. The PA5 grip like the proverbial vice.Ceterum censeo: For the consumer, this whole Hires BS is plain marketing. Any differences are due to different mixing/mastering.

You weren't very far off there, every time I ask for an opinion on something on a forum I end up blowing a lot more money than I initially was considering! E50 uses the latest high-performance DAC chip ES9068AS. Our excellence in design and engineering provides realistic and transparent sound quality. With the help of careful design and adjustment, E50 provides a distortion as low as 0.00009% and a dynamic range of 126dB, providing you with perfect sound quality. You can expect these DAC & Amps to present you with a refined listening experience. The audio quality exhibited by these DAC & Amps is a beautiful mix of musicality, technical brilliance and high precision.

Same SINAD at both 2V and 4V which is crazy at 120dB for BOTH. But alas, the 50mV spec is missing. (I wonder, could we get SINAD and not just SNR for 50mV?) I know you don't do it for DACs, but still :\ Please keep in mind that these are rough estimates and shipments can be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, like postal strikes or severe weather.

As you see, power is provided through a 5 volt barrel connector. Topping provides a USB to barrel cable adapter so you can use any USB power supply. Offering a world class service to our customers, we are a highly focused team who can be trusted to support you Bass is firm and tight, and the amplifier encompasses dynamic extremes without obvious signs of strain. Compared to my regular amplifier, the overall presentation was just a little drier and not quite so sweet and relaxed. But after I'd listened for an hour or more, this early impression became less and less noticeable as the ear acclimatised. plastic penguin I wasn't even aware they made DACs, probably because I though of them as CD players. I bet they are excellent but the cheapest USB one is around €1900. For that sort of money I suddenly don't have that big of a problem with my current dacs And for quite a bit less money I would just go with an Ares II or something like that. Are any folks using the E50's balanced output in preamp mode to drive powered monitors? Is that working well?
