I especially love the typical British humour, like the really awful parents (a bit like the adults in Roald Dahl's books), especially the father who is a real bully and the mother who is just as awful, but this is what makes the book so hilarious. At least, that's my version of events and that's what counts here because, very unusually, I actually appear in the book as his not entirely successful sidekick; the Watson to his Holmes. The humour is wicked and I am not sure about the early bits of humour, which seem to revolve around extreme forms of domestic violence. No necesitan esperar demasiado para darse cuenta de que el lugar a donde se dirigen es bastante macabro.

Their fears increased rapidly when they met their teachers, none of which seemed ordinary and after different discoveries their alarm escalated that things were not normal in the school. Misterious activies are happening at the school, as David realizes the colleagues go missing in the middle of the night but appear in their beds in the morning again. A lot of critics (and Horowitz himself) have since noted certain similarities between the Groosham Grange novel and the newer Harry Potter series written by J. He also uses a couple characters at random points throughout the book to expound upon the horrors of Christianity--one character is a priest that Horowitz treats with a negative bias that completely breaks the narration. When you read the second book, Unholy Grail, you will very much suspect that JK Rowling read these books too. Please help to demonstrate the notability of the topic by citing reliable secondary sources that are independent of the topic and provide significant coverage of it beyond a mere trivial mention. Y como dicen en la Granja Groosham: "Somos francamente malignos, pero ¿qué hay de malo en ser maligno?

Groosham Grange is a 1988 fantasy novel by English author Anthony Horowitz and the first novel in the Groosham Grange series. I thought this book was very captivating and intriguing as it was focused around David Eliot's disappointing schooling experiences that led him to a paranormal world. Ever since I learned to read my ambition was to be an author, and Groosham Grange is one of those early inspirations.David Eliot is 10 year old boy who does not know he is a sorcerer until his father recieves a strange letter in the mail inviting David to a special school. But here I am, writing a book in which I have no idea what's going on, following in the footsteps of a character who refuses to tell me anything.
